I'm looking for blog recommendations. I want to add photos but I want to be able to make these into individual albums rather than one huge album of photos. I also want to do some writing so want a blog that can do both.
Any ideas ?

I use Shutterfly, you can have separate albums for different topics (e.g. we have one for pics of our DD and one for general pics during the year) and invite people to view it with a password, so the whole world can't see your pics only the people you want to.
