Cyclone Glenda
Take care everyone around those areas - hope all is ok. We have just experienced 'cyclone larry' in this part of Australia and it wasn't good especially for INNISFAIL so, listen to the warnings - better to be safe than sorry Be prepared as best you can just in case.

Pics are good like some of the ones we took - but unfortunately there is NO SOUND! The sound as much as anything is what allows you to realise the intensity of a cyclone when it is hitting your part of sunny oz! I looked at the post BIX put up with the pics we had and thought - ok you can see a few palm trees blowing, lots up rooted, some major damage - but nothing prepares you for the verosity of the WIND! It caused absolute havoc - do not underestimate a cyclone with up to 280kmh winds! or force 4/5 - they kick some ......!
So, again, for now, future or whatever - take in, baton down, etc etc dont leave ANYTHING loose around the house - just cause it might not effect you, doesn't mean some other poor bugger isn't gonna get the brunt of a sun chair flying thru their window or worse
Be warned, very warned!

Phew, it was a close shave. I was worried, for selfish reasons that Exmouth was going to be hit.
Looks like I won't have to cancel my holiday!
