Never had much time for this lad but thought I could eat the bugger whole now I have had a rethink , you win Porkchop I cannot spend good drinking time in the bog.
VICTIMS of one of Victoria's biggest food poisoning outbreaks are set to receive compensation payouts totalling up to $1 million under a settlement approved today.
But lawyers warned it was likely to be the last payout of its kind in the state, as new compensation laws introduced in May removed the right to sue for non-permanent pain and suffering.
"If this outbreak occurred today, all of these people would not be compensated for their pain and suffering because of changes to the law," said Eugene Arocca, public liability partner at law firm Maurice Blackburn Cashman.
One man died and 213 people fell ill with gastroenteritis, with 22 of them hospitalised, after eating pork rolls from the Thanh Phu restaurant in Footscray in January this year.
