Statutory Declaration questions (RPL related)
I hope someone can help me with my questions.
I have searched through this forum and read as much info as I can at the moment, but am unclear on a few things.
I am currently trying to complete my application for RPL assessment with ACS. I understand the rules change on 1 October, so I am trying to see if I can get this in before then.
I have approximately 10yrs IT experience, but my big problem is that I only have original references covering the last 5 yrs or so. I have references covering the previous 5yrs, but they are not originals, they are photocopies (the originals were used for another application some time ago & I cannot get them). I cannot get originals issued again, and am unable to get hold of the people I got the references from.
Would it be acceptable to hand in the copies I have of my first 5 years references, along with certified copies of my most recent 5 years references? Will that be counted by ACS?
I read somewhere on this forum that you can get a Statutory Declaration of some sort - would this be suitable in my case? If so, what would I need to do for this?
Any help & info would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance.

Fill in this form with something like..
I .... hereby declare that the references included in my application are true and legal....blah, blah and get a JP to sign it....
The 5 years originals should be enough anyway.
I did the exact same thing as this. It worked out OK for me.

One more question in that case (whoever can help) - who can I get to sign it in the UK? Would this be a solicitor, or is there some other official that would be able to sign?
Thanks again.
