Default Statutory Declaration - Does anybody know?

Hello you lot,

I have got to fill in a Statutory Declaration for the TRA because I no longer have the relevant papers from 25 years ago to tell them that I do know what I am on about. So they have told me to do a statement detailing (and I mean detailing) every company I have worked for and what I did there, the tools I used, the equipment I worked on and the day to day of what I did....... This will be 25 years worth !! so it will equate to pages and pages, but that is what they want so...

I would like to know, if I can type these pages on the computer as opposed to hand writing them as I can dictate them then !! and do I then simply staple the Stat dec. doc with all the paragraphs and contents documented on it, to the front and get that witnessed?

As the stat dec. document only has a small paragraph space on the front I am hoping that I do not need several of these to complete my years in detail and that I can simply do it on plain paper and attach this to the front.

All help greatly appreciated.

Martin

The stat dec printed document is just a template - the important thing is the wording (the bit at the start declaring its all true etc) and the signatures.

Thanks for replies, I already have the form off the web thanks and I know I have got to get it signed officially etc, I just want to know if I can attach extra sheets to it and have that as the front signed contents sheet so to speak.

I can't find anywhere on the web about it.

Just put a reference to that paperwork and ensure it is referenced on each attached sheet - I think if you need to get it signed they just need to sign each sheet?

When we've had a JP sign a multiple attachments stat dec before, he signed it just the once, but wrote that it was 6 pages.

Thanks for that guys - did you hand write it or do it on the pc?

Don't think it would really matter if done in type format really as long as I get it signed I guess.

Thanks for you help

When we did my hub's I hand printed all of it. Don't know why typing on the computer wouldn't be allowed, though.

We didn't actually do any official statutory declarations but we did do pages of job description and tool lists etc.

We typed all of this - the only handwritten bit we did was on the actual application form, everything else was typed.
