Does a statutory declaration have to be witnessed and made legal by a solicitor? It doesnt say so on my forms, but is that what statutory means?

Also, what evidence have people given to prove that they are in a long term relationship? I was thinking of using things like joint savings book, bills addressed to both of us, and maybe some photos. Its funny because we have two children and we have been married for 10 years! But they need their proof, and I dont blame them.

Any ideas out there would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi - we had to do a Stat Declaration because they were two business which had ceased on my husbands skill assessment.

to your question yes a solicitor had to certify it - cost £5 thats all

wills
life insurances
joint name bills
endowment policies in joint names
It does state not to use photo,s
reciepts of holiday booked with all our names on.
