Default Stamp duty on QLD homes

We're looking to buy our first home in Queensland later this year and are interested to know how much the Government would like to take off us in stamp duty. We will move into it as soon as we buy it and it will be our permanent place of residence.

Could anyone point us in the direction of accurate information. Cheers.

It's all done on value thresholds. You pay the stamp on the land and house. We bought land for around $257 and the stamp was an additional $7500.
If you build new there's no stamp duty - only on resales
I think it works out around 3% but it does depend on the value of what you're buying from memory.
