Default Stamp duty

Hi all, just wondering does stamp duty vary from state to state or is it the same right through the country and what is the rate at the moment. Many thanks Andy

Stamp duty varies from state to state.

The bad news is that South Australia has the highest. However if you build yourself then you only pay Stamp Duty on the land purchase and not the house build.

Can't tell you though what the rates are
