Spray tans in melbourne????

Re: Spray tans in melbourne????
You can dismiss it because it's in the Daily Mail or there might be something in it. SunSmart alludes to the toxins in the spray as well.
"One in ten British men and four in ten women say they use fake tan"!!

The Cancer Council seem to deem spray tans as safe - as long as you don't swallow it o.O

Kirsty - I've removed the email as it's not a good idea for open forum. Members can email you through BE - or pm you. To send a pm yourself, if you click on members name you get a drop down menu which includes 'send a private message to..'
There are a couple of other ways - from the my profile, and compose message (my profile is in the peachy coloured button bar), and also in the top right by your user name you should see a private messages link.
Hope that helps

Nano particles in sunscreens and fake tanning products are the worrying factor. We've only used sunscreen with no nano particles (minus chemical absorbers) for years.

Hi Kirsty.
My wife is opening a beauty salon late November here in the Dandenong ranges and is looking for a beautician amongst other things.
I know you arrive in Jan, but maybe send me a PM if you want to know more and I can get her to send you an email.
My wife has actually just finished the spray tan course (very popular here) and has been a nail stylist (gel & shellac) for 15 years and is looking also at permanent make up as her next course to follow.
(If anybody out there can do Botox, drop me a PM as well )
cheers
Paul

Re: Spray tans in melbourne????
Hi all,
So I've been on here about 1 month now, and I'm getting the hang of this "new thread' i think I'm om my 5th one nw ;-)
The question is....
Do people still have spray tans In Melbourne???
I no the suns nice and its hot so y bother with a fake tan when you can get a real one!!!
BUT were i live now (england) i do loads of spray tans, would it be worth bringing my kit over and maybe in a couple of months when i start to make new friends offer them this and build a client base up from that?
Do salons/ beauty therapist's offer spray tans?
I am also qualified in other beauty and also hair.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Spray tans in melbourne????
I went to a 'salon' : have to admit there is something very vulgar about these crops of salons popping up all over - for a little fundraiser thing that was going on and there were all these women walking around looking like they had rolled around in ash.
If that is what you have to do to look orange then it's a total waste of time.
I am grateful that my wife tends to eschew all beauty that is artificial. I sometimes wish women would remember that beauty is sometimes what you don't do, or mess with.
What happened to an elegant foot, natural toenails (girls! these look great!), nice dress, or a hair placed in plaits..a nice smile. You don't need to slap on paints, oils and lotions half the time and you'll save a fortune! I did however quite like all the attention I got from these women who all felt a million dollars...(good for them!)
Cheers
