Hi I am currently about to send of my application for an Oz migration visa under the skilled workers category. My girlfriend of five years is planning to come with me under the spouse visa. We have tons of prove of relationship but we are unsure when to apply for the spouse visa. Do we have to wait for my visa to come true (i.e in about 8 months) or can we apply in parallel with my application ? Also if we can only apply after I get my visa, will she be able to work in Oz while her application is being processed.

Isn't there a section on the Skilled Visa application for a partner?
Wouldn 't it be easier just to do it all at once?

(sorry if I'm being stupid. I've not seen the form as I'm going over on a De Facto Spouse Visa)

It's not just easier - it's *compulsory* if you have cohabited with someone as a de-facto spouse for over 12 months.
