Spouse visa application
 

Hi there, i am starting my spouse visa application and wondered if anyone has any advice/hints/tips in general please.
Also i am an english driving instructor and am looking to do this in Brisbane-anyone out there done this??
Any help would be great.

Finished ours not long ago. Took me bloody ages to get together, mainly because I'm a lazy get :) But once posted off Dimia processed it in 7 days. Couldn't believe it.

I'd say - get all the stat decs, meds and police checks sorted first - then worry about the actual form filling once the wheels are in motion. We included stuff like marriage certificates, birth certificates, joint mortgage bills (and anything else house-holdy that proves a husband/wife paper trail) along with a single A4 photo-sheet I put together quickly actually showing us together at various stages.

If you read the guide notes on the Dimia site, they say they're not remotely interested in a fussy presentation - I just stuck all the forms (four of 'em in total) in one folder and all the supporting evidence (stat decs, solicitor signed photocopies of passports and citizenship certificates, photos, bills and other stuff) in another. We sent it special delivery via the post office (as Dimia recommend) and included a large heavily stamped ('bout 3 quid's worth) padded envelope for sending it all back in. We included my wife and son's passports in the parcel and they bunged the visas in there and then. There's a lot of paperwork to piece together, but it's all pretty straight-forward - PM me if you want to know more. :)
