Sporting goods and bicycles
I have just read here: http://www.affa.gov.au/content/publi...AB8AF20#banned that you can't take sporting goods or bicycles. My son is in outdoor pursuits and has amassed all sorts of sporting equipment he would want to take with him (would cost a small fortune to replace).
Does anyone have any experience at all of this? Surely if it is power washed before we leave, this would be sufficient.

Must be the blonde in me.
Or the hayfever, incidentally, does anyone that suffered with hayfever back in England, still suffer with it over in Aus? This is my first year suffering and then only a few times but what a pain in the head it is. Hubby suffers a lot with it so we're hoping it may miraculously disappear once in Australia.

Hi
Hayfever - I think it depends on where you're going!
Washing bikes, etc - you should really use Jeyes Fluid, then at least they'll smell that they've been done!

Hi Lindsey
not sure about the hayfever situation there, as it's more of a tropical climate than the UK.
We're going to Adelaide where tree pollen can be a problem for sufferers susceptible to that sort of pollen.
