Spending money for reccie?
Hi
I was just wondering about spending money for our reccie over xmas?
We are going over for a few weeks over xmas and new year but i just wondered if anyone had any advice as to how much money we will need to take for spends. We have 3 children-so not going to be cheap, but if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, we unfortunately need to exchange some £'s into dollars-great timing eh!!! but how is the best way to go about it. We booked the flights with Thomas Cook who said we would have a better exchange rate with them, but when i have rung them their rate has not been too appealing!! So if anyone has any ideas that would be great!?
Many thanks,
Claire

Re: Spending money for reccie?
Hi.
It depends where you are going and it is open ended but we spent around £600 - £700 per week in Perth. This was not car hire e.t.c but did include food, petrol and going places. We done all the tourist stuff although we did not eat out that much because of the kids. If you have a Nationwide flexaccount draw money via the machines here as it is free and you will pretty much get the actual exchange rate, if not it is not much help , thanks James.

we went for a month last year (may-june) and the whole holiday cost us about £7k - that included return flights, internal flights, spending money etc ...
