Specific Work Experience - ACS code
Hi,
The application form states that to get 10 points for Specific Work Experience I should 'have worked in my nominated occupation or a closely
related occupation, for at least 3 of the 4 years before I apply' .
Now, the ACS have assessed me as an 'IT Systems Manager' despite my current (last 2 years) job being a software development team leader/project manager. My previous job (5 years) was as an IT Manager.
I'm a bit worried that my current job does not really match my ACS assessment and that I'd not get the 10 points for SWE. Anyone any thoughts ? I suppose it all comes down to how 'closely related' is defined.

I think you will be fine. Project manager/IT manager is a very thin line. As long as
you have references from your current job, I see no problem.

Yeah, I've been freaking out constantly. And considering I started this over a year
ago, I wonder what it has done to my nerves long-term, hee hee.
