For anyone that heard the Standard Emergency Warning Signal (SEWS) go off - it is usually only used for cyclones, and it was activated this time due to gusts over 100km/hr at Amberley (near Ipswich)

quite heavily in fact. and there have been some very loud rumbles of thunder in the distance. its all very ominous.

we copped it three times yeserday
its buggered up lots of plants ( leaves shredded ) but luckily it wasnt quite big enough ( it was about 20mm hail ) to do any real damage

Just two very heavy short showers here. No hail but obviously drove out of Burleigh just as their hail storm hit. Beautiful today though

on the radio today fuit and veg prices to soar due to recent hail damage
