Sorry, still asking about Brisbane schools - Clontarf Beach High - anyone?
Been in touch with the principal there and he is a very helpful man. Just wondered if anyone has any local knowledge, good school / bad school? Or dyu know anyone who went there or sends their kids there, etc etc. I'm just after people's personal opinions and experiences good or bad. We'll of course decide for ourselves when we arrive but it's good to have a short list and a definate no-no list. Sorry to keep harping on about schools, it's just a real concern of mine that our 14 year old has an easy transition and settles in well.
Cheers

Clontarf is a pretty old area, and the beach is definately not a surf beach tho.

Rachel,
I don't think Clontarf is known as one of the better schools but do not despair because 4 kms away is Scarborough State School which we found to be excellent. My youngest went there for 4 months until he went up to big school. Teachers appear to be quite experienced with migrant kids and he had a pretty good time there.
Regards

Which 'big school' did he go to? It's for my 14 year old that I'm asking about and the High school not the primary shool at Clontarf. There is no High School at Scarborough is there? There's just Redcliffe High School. Can you recommend a State High School which is considered to be a good school by the locals?
Cheers
Rachel
