Default Son want father christmas to bring an game cube. Will it work in oz?

Our son has just told us what he wants for xmas but will a game cube work in oz. Can I get it chipped or should I say no to his request and get one out here?

Advice please

I raised a simillar question on the PS2. Eventually I wrote to Sony to ask them. They came back saying that because it was PAL that it would be fine and there would be no need for chipping. I would strongly suspect that it is the same for Nintendo. Though it may be wise to check by dropping them an email. Sony responded in 2 days which was not bad
