Not going till March, but I know for a fact I will miss Diet Irn Bru, a cold pint of Tennents Lager in the Scotia Bar on a Saturday afternoon and watching Rangers beat Celtic on a cold new years day.

Cheers

Me & Mrs B watch Brookside (sad but true) as Jimmy Corkhill is my role model & as for Emily Shadwick -phwoar she'd get it.I think Mrs B watches it incase any more lesbo scenes get put on.Still, they're scrapping that Scouse drivel next year so It don't matter anyway.

I hope that we can get the more off-beat comedy out there-did anyone watch "Bo' Selecta" especially Michael Jackass-"The Office"-"league of Gents"etc.
If not,as long as porn is free I'll make do with that.
Also,I can see me having many a great night with Nicks hubby listening to Tongy and eating meat pies in front of her & talking about huntin' n shootin'!

OOh BTW do I put this on this forum,or the migration one,as it's important to me,not off-topic!

Back to the important topic of chocolate it is really bad in Oz, tastes more like cooking chocolate (some strange additive to stop it melting I believe).
I thought the sister-in-law was joking that it was so awful so we brought some Lindt chocolate from the super market while we were out there (if you haven't tried it before you leave for Oz then do, some of the best on the market!) it was absolutely disgusting.
In the end we found the only place we could get proper English chocolate was from Sanctuary Cove (about 1hr drive from Brisbane). Don't be fooled by the wrappers which may look the same the contents isn't.
Anyway enough of my ranting must go and visit the vending machine....

I didn't think the chocolate in Oz was that bad. Let's face it UK chocolate isn't that good. Didn't the Europeans try to make us call it "vegelate" as it is so low in cocoa solids?

Anyway, nothings as bad as a US Hershey bar, has anyone tried one? I reckon they must put something in it that I'm allergic to because whenever I get a taste I just want to literaly throw up. Then I get a headache.

I've also requested myy local indian to give me his Chicken Tikka Masala recipe, best in the world and really going to miss it. Even prepared to show him my visa sticker in case he thinks I'm copywriting it and opening up next door!

Seriously, friend have requested I bring out TCP, cos they just can't get it (in Perth anyway)and sudocream (the zincy stuff), for the sprogs, which is available, but only in very small pots. So BB, stock up, manys the time you have had a really rashy arse I bet, you should change the blade more often or at least stop Mrs BB touching up her hawaian!

Have to disagree. I just had a block sent over from UK and also a few from OZ. I could not tell the difference, so I say that it can't be all the different. As for it tasting like crap, try moving to the US, where their "fabulous" Hershey's chocolate is "so good". Then you will know what crap chocolate is. My friends could not understand why I hated their chocolate so much, then they tasted Cadburys, they soon realised why BTW we went up to Canada with the rellies from Ireland and they said the Cadbury's tasted different and was not as good, I thought it was fabo.

That is my opinion anyway. I guess it is because I have probably only had chocolate about 10 times in the last 2 years.

Let's face it guy's, we'll gladly give up all these things if it means following our hearts desire... LOL

I look forward to eating all the fresh exotic fruit at much cheaper prices than we get here !

Chocolate... yep got to admit I'll miss the Thornton's continental, chatting to some girls for Oz on the net a few months back and they hadn't even heard of it. Please let me know if any of you know differently.

Baldus - I think you're heading for Brisbane? You could be in for a rude surprise me old China, QLD has draconian anti-porn laws and none is available! (But if you're going to Sydney, it's full of the stuff.)
