I though Sir Alexander Fleming invented penicillin? Kind of those most of the rest in doubt as well..

Still not convinced to be honest:
" first was Sir Howard Florey, who was awarded the Nobel prize in 1945 for his role in developing penicillin"
So perhaps they were just involved in bringing it to market. A bit like Edison who didn't discover (or invent) either electricity or the light bulb..
