Glad it will be of help. If anyone is wanting any more information, particularly on Adelaide, just ask me. Ive been living here for 4-months now and my partner 9-months. She has also lived in Melbourne for a short time.

In the meantime, since most of those links apply to Adelaide and SA here are what I consider the pros and cons of Adelaide/SA/OZ. Bear in mind we all have different preferences and desires for wanting to relocate.

To make things a little easier for you I have graded them between 1-10 for those that prefer this. Hope this helps. Anything between 4-5 isn't that bad so don't get bogged down on this gadding ok, its just my opinion.

10 = Fantastic
9 = Brilliant
8 = Very good
7 = Good
6 = Above average
5= Average (neither good or bad)
4 = Bellow average
3 = Bad
2 = Very bad
1 = Terrible.

Pros:

- Lots of greenery: Adelaide boasts a huge range of greenery space with plenty of parks situated around the outskirts of the City (city centre). There are also a lot of huge national parks and places to take the family (and couples to go) for a picnic or a nice day out in the open space. All of which are close by (1hr max driving distance from City). 7/10

- Friendly people: Althogh i can't count for the whole of OZ, the people in Adelaide are very friendly and I somewhat found them more friendly than all of the UK, including Scotland where i'm from. The down side is that people may find the Auses rather fake and over the top with their friendliness. When you go shopping you will understand what i mean - They ask you all sorts of questions about you: what have you been up to? had a good day? etc. Its like sitting in a counseling service at times. Never less I really like the Adelaide Auses. 7/10

- Borrossa Valley: This place is a lovely to go for a scenic drive. It is only around 1hr out of Adelaide and there are plenty of places to stop at as well as lots of wineries to get your taste buds going. 9/10

- Victor Harbour: Again a nice drive going to Victor Harbour and the place itself isn't too bad. Worth taking a visit. Only around 1hr drive again. 6/10.

- Good health system (eve if it is 10years behind): SA health system is rather good, or from what I have experienced from it anyway. You get to see a doctor within 1-day at the latest of booking in. In the UK id wait about 1-2 weeks. Having said that I have no idea on the waiting lists for major operations or going to see a specialist in OZ. On the other hand the health system is behind that of the UK and will be a few years yet before they catch up on certain things. Take the mental health sector as an example, they are way behind in a lot things. My partner works in a mental health detox place, so that's how I know. Having said that I am very happy with it here and I like how the doctors take their time with you and you can choose a particular doctor who is specialises in your area if you wish. Although it can be expensive I love it. 8/10

Cons:

- Some things are backwards: Australians call the city i.e. the city centre only. Can be very confusing at first and is rather annoying when they actually don't include the rest of Adelaide as the actually city. So when some says they live in the city they mean the city centre area. And if someone says they live in Adelaide they mean outwith the city centre. Although not a major issue at first its rather confusing. 5/10

- Road rage: Although you get this everywhere I have never seen so many angry drivers here in Adelaide with their stupidity. Having said that I find them more relaxing than UK drivers and tend to be less of in a hurry which is a good thing. If only those Adelaide drivers stop their road rage - and it is bad. Australians here says that Adelaide are the worse drivers, and yes a lot are bad but drivers here are more laid back than in the UK. 4/10

- Graffiti: Although it is not too bad here in Adelaide. It is noticeable, particularly in the run-down areas. It doesn't bother me nor my partner and you will struggle to find any in the City. 4/10

- Weather: Now before I get shot-down for this, i am not a fan of really hot weather. Adelaide has dry air compared to the rest of Australia and when you have a 40c sun beaming down on you for 2-weeks that is not pleasant. It can get extremely hot here in Adelaide (worse in Cairns of course). having said that it is fantastic compared to the UK. So if you love the really hot heat and dry air then you'll love this place (bear in mind you're eyes can get very dry, especially if you wear contacts or have had laser eye surgery). When it rains here in Adelaide it showers heavily for a short periods (30-2hrs usually) then will stop for a few hours and perhaps come on again, it's all stop and start. Very bizarre and temperamental at times. Although you can look at this has a good point with the weather its a bad point for me because 40c is way too hot - which is one reason why i'm moving to NZ. Still its far better than the UK and the winters are bearable. The other bad point is that it rains very little here, hence all the droughts. 5/10

- Cars turning whilst your crossing: Cars in Adelaide can turn into the other road whilst pedestrians cross. This is not safe and you get a lot of drivers revving their engine and speeding off because you took too long to cross (even though you are entitled to do so). Not a good thing about Adelaide. 4/10

- Organic scam: Just thought Id throw in a twist here. I find this annoying and I personal think this should not be allowed as it is miss leading. When you go out to eat or buy products that have the word "organic", "organics" or anything associated with organic products do NOT assume it is organic. Because 9/10 it will not be. A lot of products and shops in Adelaide will see products saying something like pure organic shampoo., when infact there are no organic plants or anything remotely close in the product to being organic. So read the back of the box or container first. Also a lot of cafes will have signs saying organic when infact not one product they use is organic. So ask in the shop before buying. Also their is hardly a V sign (like you get in the UK) displayed for vegetarian food. So check the back of the product. 2/10

- Poor bars and cafes: If clubbing or going to the bar for a few, or even sitting in the sun drinking a latte or a tea is your thing then you will be utterly disappointed. Adelaide, and I am assuming this will be like elsewhere in Australia (with the exception of possibly Sydney or Newcastle) the bars, clubs and cafes are no where near as good as in the UK. It took me 4-months to find a cafe with comfortable seating that had a relaxed ambient feel (cafe chocolate on rundle street). All the cafes have hard seating which is uncomfortable, they all look similar and to me they look like something id eat in a run-down place in the UK (this is my opinion and some people may have different preferences and tastes - but I like more posher, relaxed places that have really comfortable seating). Most of the bars you will come across are in Hotels - and no they are nothing special, which doesn't help your wallet. Clubbing is awful here in Adelaide. Don't waste your time. 3/10

- Water: Severe water restrictions all over Australia and the amount of fluoride they out in the water is appalling. The water tastes horrible here. So now you have to waste your money on bottled water unless you have one of those puress (what ever they are called) water taps. 2/10

- Heating systems non existent: Although Australia is hot there are some places that do get rather cold in winter time at night. Almost all houses and flats/apartments have just on heater/cooler system stuck on the wall, usually in the main room. They are very poor and it takes forever to heat up just the one room. I was very cold at night during the winter here in Adelaide because the heating systems was really poor. 3/10

- TV is awful: Pay your TV license in the UK because TV here is dreadful. Full of rubbish English and American programs. Scrap heat challenge, the bill are the type of rubbish you get here. Not to mention Gordon Ramsey everytime. zzzzzz. Far too many adverts which makes T V watching a drag. 4/10 I personally prefer that TV is awful it gets you out and about. So on that scale id give it 7/10 for making you get out of the house.

- Too much advertising & crap: The adverts on TV are just tacky and really badly done. The streets are over flooded with advertising everywhere and it is really annoying. Billboards on pavements, signs sticking out of shops. Its just an overload. You can;t see the shops because of all the advertising stuck in front of it. 4/10

- Shops look like houses: It can be quite difficult to find some shops here in Adelaide because a lot of them used to be houses. Not so much in the City is really more in the outer areas. 5/10

- Poor transport system: I lived in Edinburgh for years and the transport system is quite good. Here it is awful in Adelaide and most parts of Australia. Bus signs have the wrong numbers and description on them. Buses and trains never ever, ever turn up on time. Bus drivers like to drive the wrong way. One bus me and my partner got on only to find out half an hour later the bus driver had gone the wrong way and had to ask a school kid to re-direct her. 3/10 for me.

- Everything else is too far away: In Australia you will first notice that if you want to get to the next city you will have to take the plane unless you like driving for over 8hrs. Adelaide itself is very much on its own and the towns and other cities close by are toilette's - Whayela for example. Not all but if you are heading towards Whayela you'll find many of them. In Adelaide it takes about 1hr 30mins to get from the city to the North or South side by bus. And if you drive from far North Adelaide to the South it will take around 2hrs depending on traffic. Adelaide is long and narrow which I don't like. 3/10

- Not a lot to do for a big city: I was disappointed about the lack of activities to do in Adelaide compared to other cities half the size. There are also very few festivals going on and they are nothing compared to the likes of what Edinburgh and London can host. 4/10

- Architectural buildings almost non-existent: The government haven't done a good job blending in the new buildings with the old (not that there are many). And a lot of the new buildings are hardly nice to look at. Still there are a few lovely old buildings in the city of Adelaide. 3/10

- High taxes for nothing in return: You pay quite high taxes for relatively little in return here. You have to fork out for Ambulance cover and take out health insurance which is very very expensive. Although your TV license is incorporated into your taxes which is a good thing or not considering TV is rubbish here. 4/10

NB I will add a few more things when time allows.
