some help please!!
Hi' I'm a British citizen wanting to move to oz long term - possibly to apply for residency in the future.
I have been looking for different ways in but I'm not able to find one suitable to me yet.
I have lived in oz for 10 months previously on a working holiday visa, I can't get another as I don't have proof that I worked outside sydney for 3 months on the first one.
My partner is going to go in on a working holiday visa as he hasn't used his yet.
I'm thinking the only way at the moment is to go in on a 3 months visitors visa and find a college course I can study from which I can start a business as part of the course which will then allow me to transfer to a longer term visa?
I already have the business idea and will look for a relevant course when I'm visiting.
I do not have any of the skills on the skilled migration list.
Does this seem viable and does anyone have any suggestions as to any other ways?
Also I'm currently living in taiwan so it's hard to get any help from the 'embassy' here.
thanks
jo

Don't know the answer, but post it on the immigration forum aswell as we mainly talk nonsense on here.

When we first were discussing moving to Oz we thought we had decided on a route. Then we got in contact with our agent and he gave us lots of easier ways and we got the visa much quicker than we originally thought. Might be best finding a good agent to talk to preferably one that doesn't charge too much for initial advice!!
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies and advice.
I'll post on the other forum as well.
Stupid question I know but where do I get an agent and how do I know if they are any good. Is this something that can be done when I'm in Oz on a visitor/student visa.
Thanks
jo

A 2 yr visa, it works on a points system, get in touch with International Uni in the state you want to go to. I did it all for my son, took about 6 weeks.
