Default Solar Sun Rings

Been looking on the web site for the Solar rings and they look very good. Has anyone here got them and can let me know if they are as good as or better that a pool blanket?

http://www.directpoolsupplies.com.au/category196_1.htm

Thanks

Don't suppose anyone knows if they are OK to used instead of blankets when the QLD govt enforces level 4 restrictions which includes mandatory blankets.

I dunno the answer to that one, but when ur pool is warm enough you flip em over to reduce evapouration, but dont know if it will be enough for the councils. But then you could always argue the point that they are healthier for the pool water as they allow some sunlight thro which stops brown algae, therefore u wont need to use as much chemicals or clean the pool as much therefore reduce water consumption for those with sand filters. IMO they could save more water by forcing people of new pools to install cartridge filters instead of sand
