Solar Power - Any experiences | Advice
Hi guys.
We are about to embark on Solar power, electric bill is regularly around $ 600 every two months, so we have decided to take the plunge. I have only spoken to one company to date, but the info I received was vague to say the least. Therefore I have a few questions, if anybody has the time or inclination to answer any of them, that would be great.
1. Has anyone actually installed solar power
2. How did it affect your power bill
3. Are you actually making a profit on the amount of energy you are producing.
4. What size system did you opt for, we are considering 4.2 Kw, but are open to advice.
5. Any advice on really good companies/prices.
Thanks if you can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Try Julian if you want good advice
http://www.solaranswers.com.au/index.html
Doesn't sell systems but gives you all the info.He is Kaju on Whirlpool-Green Forum
Been getting quotes on a second system :
Infinite Energy
GSI
Energy Farm
all good gear and competitive .
You haven't got long till the subsidy winds back from 40c to 20c on July 1 .
I think most installers are on line / on phone 7 days a week with the rush for the deadline
Have had a 1.5kW for 15 months and are expanding it to 4.65kW , in theory it will pay for itself in 5.5 years (with no more power bills from Aug. )
