Social Work in Aussie/NZ or Canada - qualifications/work life, training etc..
Hi,
I have done my BSC in psychology and I am on a 2yr program where I am working full time whilst doing a Masters. At the end of my first year I will qualify as a social worker in Child Protection. The 2nd year is working towards my Masters.
I have had previous work inbetween working for NGOS within Education.
I was wondering if this would be enough for me to apply as a Social Worker in Australia or NZ?
If so, could someone help me understand how I would be supported. Would training be available - are there different ways of doing child protection work for charities rather than the government? What is the work life balance like?
Any help on this would be hugely appreciated.

You need to look at what is required to pass the skills assessment for the occupation. Most (not all) occupations require several years post qualification experience and only experience gained once qualified is counted.
