You'll have to make sure he gets into one of the local sports e.g. out to the AFL in winter and the Cricket in summer. After all, when in Rome......

You should get plenty of quiet time during cricket season then if you can sign him up to a local cricket team. For example, most teams in my local league here (East Gippsland, Victoria) Have training two nights a week then a match on weekends - plus associated post match drinking errm I mean analysis!!

Playing at this age - I don't think so! However, I am sure that he would love to take part in the 'post match analysis'!

I don't understand what you mean are you saying he's too old? Unless he's a pensioner e.g. 60 years plus he should be able to get a game in most local leagues. The teams are graded 'A' down to 'D' or 'E' e.g. 'A' will be the top standard players and the lower divisions are for players who are not upto the top level. Teams in our area have fathers & sons playing D grade cricket together. me, I play in the B or C grade depending on which one is short of players.

He is not quite that old yet but sometimes he acts like it!!!!! Actually it might not be a bad idea for him and his son to do something like that. They could do with some time together and certainly where his son is concerned as he will need to make new friends and playing a sport would be the ideal way to get him out, fit and socialising.

Well if you can avoid getting Foxtel he won't be watching much soccer at all. It's great, haven't seen or heard Brainless Beckham mentioned on telly once in four months.
Some rental places won't allow you to get cable put in if it means drilling a hole in the wall, and I'm sure a quiet word with the estate agent from you and something can be added to a rental contract

The chances of not having satellite are 0% but very interesting about rental properties. I won't let him in on that one.
