Snuggie - where to buy on the 'High Street'?

So where can I get a nice wee snuggie for the 'Winter', cheaply, on the 'High Street'?

I think they look cool lol

Re: Snuggie - where to buy on the 'High Street'?

Hahaha, do you seriously want one?

It’s for people who get trapped in normal blankets. The snuggie is a blanket with sleves, lol.

Here is the actual TV add, lol

Gotta love the video! (Here is the parody)

Re: Snuggie - where to buy on the 'High Street'?

Snuggies are everywhere at the moment. We are swamped with them, so much so that we are going to become a Snuggie society and everyone will go out in their Snuggies (as these have not been banned from Tesco's like pyjamas have). They are roughly selling for about £5 on our markets, a bit more expensive in the shops, but hey, that's back in Britain, you can't have it all ways :p

Re: Snuggie - where to buy on the 'High Street'?

Someone on here offered to buy me one (buy one get one free) but I turned them down. Who was it? They might still have it available. I would have to be 90 and have Alzeimers before I would put one on.

sat through the advert the other day with my daughter, never laughed so much. I didn't know they were designed for outdoor use as well:rofl:
So where can I get mine from them?;)

No they're not. They're seriously the most ridiculous thing created. Big gap down the back and only one size. Your street cred, even without actually having one, has fallen below anything you can ever recover from. Normal clothes, a wood burner, a decent duvet and a large bowl of beef stew and dumplings will do the same thing and be far more 'cool'.

I have a baby pink snuggie, got it for christmas and it is wonderful.

It is nothing like a dressing gown back to front as it is bigger and longer and you can curl up underneath it. It doesn't matter that there is a big gap down the back because it is designed for use when sitting down.

I love my snuggie.

Don't listen to them, Jen - they have no idea just how wonderful snuggies are :D

Mine was a joke present from my husband, which totally backfired as I use it - only in the privacy of my lounge, mind you.

My son and I were pissing ourselves laughing at the latest snuggie ad yesterday. They now come in zebra print, leopard print, kids sizes and you can also buy them for DOGS!!!!!

They only gave the prices for the standard blue and red ones and said that if you want the "designer" look you just pay a little bit more. If I wanted a "designer" look I would not be seen dead in a synthetic shroud.

Re: Snuggie - where to buy on the 'High Street'?

Maybe we could have a new TV programme. On one side people in snuggies, on the other people in doona suits. They then battle each other in a large refrigerator with obstacles such as ice floes and polar bears.

My money is on the doona suits. :D

I think they should make them for cats, then I wouldn't have to share mine.

I would have said exactly the same until I spent my first winter in Australia. Now I am feeling drawn to buying one.

Just coming into our second winter on the Gold Coast. Still think its hilarious how people describe winter here as "cold". They need to grow some!

Depends where you live. I'm in NSW and although it's not cold outside, it's bloody cold inside!! That's why I'm looking for another house to buy and going to make sure this one has full sun in the winter!!

Re: Snuggie - where to buy on the 'High Street'?

Perth gets cold. This morning was 14 degrees at 7 am. It will get warmer during the day but come 4 ish it will drop like a stone.

It gets cold in this house at night. Last year we had duvets on the sofa in the evening! No fire here and after a previous thread I started, I am reluctant to go down the gas fire route as we don't have a flu.

I love the snuggie people on the commercial who are at the baseball game in their snuggies, they are all cosey while people in hats and jackets are freezing, lol, they also look like a cult.

They look like something out of a Harry Potter film!

I'm seriously thinking of getting one for my son's football games, it's always freezing!

We made our own when we were camping last year - a nice brown fleece blanket, I went everywhere with it on at night, including bed!

I bought one for my mum, who can feel a draught in a hermetically sealed room, and she loves it. Hers had a hood - it was like some kind of cool Jedi snuggie!

Whoever accused the Aussies as not being as stylish our European brothers have not obviously witnessed the masses wearing snuggies to footy matches and people wearing them on camping trips.

Give it until the next Northern Hemisphere winter and all those chic Parisian women will be rugged up in their snuggies prancing down the Arc de Triomphe swinging their Hermes Kelly bags in a matching colour.

Move over Yves, Calvin, Giorgio, Stella, Gianfranco, Coco, the snuggie has arrived.

It is deffo getting colder - I have re-instated my fluffy dressing gown although I think if I bought a snuggie, Mr PP would not be amused, he is somewhat scornful of the snuggie advert and is convinced it is a joke and such a monster does not exist except in the form of the fabric it is made from.

I might order a sexy snuggy, nice and fluffy and warm and then a saucy layer of lace under it so I can flash the snuggie at Mr PP.:p

Just wear your dressing gown back to front, PP - same effect.

I just saw the ad for the Snuggie the other night. I thought it was stupid idea, but I couldn’t change the channel because I was under a blanket and I didn’t want my arms to get cold whilst trying to find the remote… :p

Ah, had the misfortune to see the ad last night - it is now called an "Aussie Cozy" (where is the vomit icon when you need it?!) and it was portrayed as being a great Aussie invention.

Yep saw the aussie invention ad:lol:

I must be a snuggie novice, I mean aussie cozy novice, why do you wear it like an operating gown with your bum out all cold.

Will they be the new thing to wear to the supermarket this year, probably on the catwalks of wogga right now.

You don't walk around with them on, you just sit on the sofa underneath it. They are a bit too long to walk around in too I think, a definite trip hazard.

What about the idiots who are prepared to show the world they are idiots by wearing them to sporting events? I'm sorry, I think they are as ridiculous as the big double boot thing you're supposed to put both feet in
