Freak hail storm thats all, not a regualr thing. The footage on TV was quite funny, people had chunks of ice confused with nice soft snow and were having snowball fights with ice chunks

yep it happened alright, but hail, not snow, just looks the same when viewed through a camera lens

Apparently it last happened in 1997 when an autumn storm hit Chermside, this one was a little bit more widespread.
