Funnily enough (or perhaps not funny at all )my friends 2 year oldson was bitten by a snake whilst at Kindy on Magnetic island. It was in the sandbox and as the 3 staff were all inside and the kids were unsupervised no one could identify the snake.
He spent 24 hours on an antivenin drip but is fortunately ok.

It can and does happen so don't dismiss the possibility

How on earth could they leave a two year old unattented in sand box? poor little mite, glad he was ok but bet his mum and dad sprung a few grey hairs that day :(.

Bags are left outside because there's no place for hanging them in class, they don't want the kids fiddling with them all the time and that's just where they keep them.

Yes. You've all seen the size of the school bags - they're whopping. Imagine 20 of them cluttering up the classrooms, taking over the floor space and kids tripping over them.

At my kids school they were never allowed to take bags into class - they were always left outside. Kids have to retrieve whatever they need from them before they go into the classrooms.
