Expect any neighbours or friends to be knocking at the back door! What type of snake is that?

Yep it looks like just a good old carpet snake, dont kill it, harmless, great rat and mouse catchers, great snake to have around If you have these around they also are territorial and keep the brown and black snakes away by eating their young.

That is a beautiful carpet snake - and a biggun! What did you do with him?

Ive just been called out to collect a dead dugite that killed a dog last week, they found the snakes body in the shed, the dog had attacked first and the snake bit him, dog died and snake must have died later - we checked under the cupboard in the shed on Friday and he wasnt there but this morning he was so I dont know when he snuffed it.
It was the biggest bastard I have ever seen I have been taught not to do 'skin to scale' and never touch snakes even when they are dead as it still has its venom sacks, so I still had to use my grabbers.
Poor lady though, she had a tiger snake in her garden the other week - her garden is like a snake haven, lots of junk stored and places for them to hide, And judging by the dead parrots under the tree, there could be more or at least one to replace the one that was killed.
