Skype mobile
 

Has anyone used skype mobile at all. I have looked it up on the internet with 3 mobile and it's available in Oz and UK but not sure you can ring uk from Oz free with it yet? Does anyone know?

sykpe mobiles dont work outside of major cities like brisbane, the 3 network that they run on hasnt been up and running here very long. you can still sykpe pc to pc or pc in aus to skype mobile in uk, and yep its all free:thumbsup:

hi yeah we have got 2 and think there great and the skype side of it is all free,
the only problem we have with them is that sometimes it says people are off line when there online but most of the time if you still try to call them it will still work :thumbup:

We have one on $29 cap plan.... Skype calls are all free and have been very good quality.
People calling via Skype the other day couldn't understand how we were driving on the freeway, when they assumed we were at home sitting at the computer. :lol:

Hi we bought two of these in adelaide at a deal $279 pre paid. we got $20 free on them when we activated online. We now use one by topping up $50 every two monts as then we get $100 worth of calls (You can put$30 top up on but this only gives you $30... or $100 on and this will give you $200 dollars - it only lasts two months though...) and we also are putting one on a contract $49 dollar cap to get the benefits of being able to text and call international landlines as not everyone we need to ring in the UK is on Skype. Once more friends and family start getting skype (e.g. my mum bought the skype mobile in the UK for £50 and just tops up £10 a month on it) then we will change and just top ours up every two months... we thought it was better to pre pay as then we are not tied into a 2 year plan on them as who knows what might come out next.. also we don't have any worries about struggling to get out of a contract if we decide it's not for us here... can't see that happenning but who knows... good luck choosing your phones.
We also have skype landline that we fill with skypeout credits ... this lets us phone UK from house for about 1p a minute. we link it to UK bank account and pay in pounds for it... it tops itself up when it gets to £2.00 so we never run out...
our friends have started using it here now... they compared it with a call from their landline and the saving was crazy... over $30 for a one hour evening call to UK landline compared to around $2 call on skypeout with phillips landline skype phone.... good luck.
