we use skype for chatting to the uk and messenger for webcam. So long as you are both broadband it is excellent. Messenger has just updated so maybe the quality of conversation would be better there now. We have a logitech headset with mic that works really well. The only problems we have are when people are using slow broadband or dial up connections.
