Hi there

My hubby is going on Tuesday morning! Never been to one so don't know what to expect at all - hoping it'll give us a few contacts for jobs etc! Other than that, we're in the same boat, although we did get the floor plan and a list of exhibitors this arvo (trying out the lingo lol) so he's going to study it over the weekend and see what's what and who's who lol. We're trying to find an employer to sponsor us cause hubby doesn't have 'formal qualifications' - seems working his way up from the scrap heap means nothing

This is my first time to one of these as well,It will good to talk to a representative from the Australian immigration and see how the land lies.

I got the floor plan today as well and will give a good going over to see the relevant bits for me.

My sister got an invite and probably won't be going because none of the companies are recruiting in her area but they do seem to be looking at banking, health practitioners, engineers, miners, etc.

Also there's representation on applying for visas and states trying to persuade you that you really want to go there.

Confusing because there is another expo which carries a charge where recruitment agents, moving companies, some employers (looking for nurses and engineers mainly), etc. hang out. I think that's in November but you don't need an invitation for it.
