skilled visa

Hi. Does anyone know when applying for skilled visa if your 12 month work experience needs to be full time? We have been told it can be 20 hrs a week. Does anyone know if that's true? Also hoe many references do you have to supply? Do they have to be for your complete work experience as some of our employers are no loner around.

As far as I know the required hours are at least 20 per week. We provided references for the past 10 years, but only beacuse OH's current job was for 8 years and the 2 previous covered his apprentiship.

If you can't get hold of references then you can either do stat decs or if possible find someone who he worked with at the time and ask them to do you a reference.

Cheers for that Steve. Things are very up in the air at the moment. My husband only works at this part time and does something els as well, althought he has city & guilds in horticulture. We are trying to find out it's enough to get us there!!

Have looked at that one before but haven't seen the 2 you have just sent. We are also trying to find out about references etc that need to be supplied. I understand they need to be quite detailed. We have been in touch with Darrell Todd of Thinking Australia. Have you heard of him?

nope but there are literally hundreds of agents around

the two specific links where both taken from the aussie gov web site
http://www.immi.gov.au/migrate/skilled.htm

its as good a place as any to start your research
