Last month was a bad one for Queensland for fires, though fortunately little property was lost - there are a few threads over the last month if you do a search. Its something you need to be aware of , whichever state you are in, and you should find the website for your local fire dept, then monitor things like fire-bans, and be aware of when the danger is greatest.
I'm not trying to preach, (and I know a lot of people are aware of bushfires before they arrive) but others are not so informed, so being aware of the risks is of vital importance - and may one day save your life and your property.

it's good to make people aware of bushfires.... the beach and sun goggles blind some peeps to the other issues if living in Oz... like lack of water/bushfires/skin cancer - what a jolly list!!!!
Bushfires are bloody scary things though.. they are incredibly noisy... roaring sounds and the like.. :scared:

Very slow last couple of days, trying to post etc and not refreshing And a minor gripe which I must post on the feedback bit - but not much leeway in adding smilies when the previous quote is still there. Winds me up being told by a faceless computer that I have used too many whatevers.

I get booted off the site at least a couple of times a day. Sometimes get booted completely offline too, though I think that's just me and technology mixing like oil and water!
