SIR Visa
We arrived in Oz 1 Jan 2006 on the ' Bush' visa - SIR visa. We're in regional Victoria - South Gippsland to be precise. Just really to ask if any one else is out there on it and what have your expriences been.
I had secured a job as a teacher here before we left but my husband has retrained as an HGV driver and is driving a truck now instead of being a civil servant. We've bought a plot of land to build a house on,so obviously the temporary nature of the visa is not an issue for the FRIB nor the bank who are keen to provide us with huge debt to build the house! Any one at the end of the visa and now going for residency? Anyone in Gippsland? Would be good to share experiences.
