Singapore Night Zoo
Hello Everyone,
I've just read about this on Rasen78's thread
I knew about this a while back, but our kids were too young when we last passed through in 2004
Later in the year my Husband and three older kids (14,13 and 11) will be rendevousing (sp??!.....oh what the heck 'meeting' lol!) with my MIL at Singapore as she makes her way to Australia to live with us She is planning on treating them to a 2/3 day sightseeing tour whilst there
Just wondering if you knowledgable people could recommend any other suitable 'must sees'? My Mother in Law is a reasonably active 87, so as long as it's not abseiling or Mounting climbing we should be fine
Thank-you,
Jan (avoiding the housework big time)

Re: Singapore Night Zoo
If you are going to the night zoo go to the regular zoo as well, which is next door. Also the bird park is pretty good. Sentosa island is also worth a visit.

Afternoon tea (singapore sling) at Raffles
We will be doing pretty much what has been mentioned above (but NOT the night zoo)
Singapore Flyer
Bumboat river tour
Chinatown

Re: Singapore Night Zoo
We were in Singapore in Aug 2011 - the night zoo is excellent - we took our 2 girls then aged 4 & 18m & they loved it! It is not the same as the regular zoo, which in my opinion has to be one of the best zooz in the world - not a cage i sight! The animals at the night zoo are amazing - you do not have to walk it - there are little trains that criss cross the park with a guide so you don't miss anything.
Universal Studios on Sentose is great fun....the rides are definitely aimed at younger children <14 I would say - there is a Madagasgar world, Shrek & Jurassic Park which both my girls enjoyed. The Madagasgar ride through the ship & dinosaur circular flying ride were suitable for both my two but not the dragon ride in Shrek.
Try and get up to the pool at the Marina Bay Sands hotel - we stayed there and the views are awesome - I don't think non-guests can swim but there is a bar/restaurant & viewing deck.
China Town is great too.
I hope they have a great time - we love Singapore - it is so clean & easy!!

We did the night zoo on our way over when the girls were 11 and 13. We all loved it.
