We stopped in Holiday Inn parkview, good hotel, great central location, close to Orchard road etc. We have 2 children and all stopped in 1 room.
Great rooftop pool and jacuzzi too!! Kids loved it!!

Try:

Le Meridian (A room at the back or left hand side of the Hotel as you look at it from Orchard Road, close to Plaza Singpura shopping centre which has great places to eat, also next door to the Hawkers Market which gets a little noisey at night but has some nice places to sample local cuisine)

Orchard Parade (a room above the 7th Floor, about 10 mins walk from Orchard MRT station)

The Elizabeth (One of the executive rooms but beware it's up a hill)

Stayed in all of these with 1 kid but you can get rooms with 2 double beds which should suit 2 small children, best to check with the Hotel Direct rather than relying on places like Expedia

We stopped in the Mirramar on Havelock Road. Might be a bit pricey, but was very nice. Very close to everything and they have there own restaraunt and bar. They also have a pool, gym, sauna, etc. We have also stayed at the Furama Riverfront. Pretty much the same as Mirramar.

Without a doubt agree with 2nd poster - Holiday Inn Parkview.
Fantastic hotel we upgraded to 'executive' which meant you could get free drinks and snacks etc in club bar. Singaporeans are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you, I even got a birthday cake!!!
Pool and spa are great too escpecially in the heat!
Hope you enjoy your trip - we will definately stay again only for longer next time!

We stayed on Santosa island at the Shangri-La (think thats how its spelt) with young boys who had no desire to go shopping etc we spent the whole time on the island taking them on the monorail, seeing the fireworks, the aquarium etc so with really young children I would recommend the Shangri-La purely for convenience and I don't remember is being that expensive. Good Luck

The Shangri-la is gorgeous with lots to do on Sentosa Island for the kids. The Pan Pacific was lovely too and not too far for shopping and stuff in the city.

Hi, we are a family of 4 too and we stayed at the Orchard Parade. It was reasonably priced, the room was lovely and the rooftop pool was too.

Only downside was we found the website was crappy for booking a family room. Thought we had cracked it but when we arrived they had no history of our booking. Panic stations followed but they were fine about it and booked us in there and then. So if you decide to use this hotel phone them to arrange the booking and perhaps get them to send you a confirmation email too.

Good luck

Stayed in Pan Pacific myself and thought it was superb all round, location, cleanliness, friendlieness and service etc. Also the kids will love the lifts or not

Transfers too and from hotel were so easy and cheap, bus tours that get you everywhere just a 2 minute walkaway etc.
