Hi there, we have booked our flights with singapore airlines and we are stopping for 4 nights in singapore, we are trying to book with there scheme a nice average priced hotel but no where seems to cater for 3 kids everywhere is 2 a 2 c. Any ideas for a nice hotel anyone, family orientated, thanks for any advice

We have three kids and stay in the Marina Mandarin if we're in Singapore. They do "family rooms" which are two, large interconnecting rooms - one Queen/King, one twin and you can have a roll-away bed in the kids' room (or they will provide a cot for free). Two bathrooms as well which is nice It's a great place to stay with kids - the staff are lovely and there is a roof-top pool (and bar!). I have found the best rates by dealing with them directly. If you can get a good rate including breakfast it's well worth going for if you have older kids. A lot of the hotels won't 100% guarantee interconnecting rooms which is useless.

I also had issues trying to source a hotel within the SA website and even when I called them to speak personally it wasn't much easier. I just ended up searching on my own and got us a place on Sentosa Island, away from the immediate city and has a nice 'resort' feel to it.

I use trip advisor.com when looking for accomodation. It is a great help and they list the hotels/apartments in order of popularity. They also have all the guests comments. I have used it to find hotels in Canada, England and Australia.

This is the place we stayed in when we were in Singapore, for family of 5, it was 5* hotel it was called Grand copthorne Water front, but I didnt think it was that expensive, we were given two contacting rooms.

We are a family of 5 and when we go to Singapore we stay at the Holiday Inn Park View, all in one room with a z bed. They don't mind 5 to a room.

We stayed at the Shangri La Sentosa on Sentosa Island, it was great and the only one with a Beach front in Singapore. Lots of families stayed there, easy to get into Singapore, with curtesy bus etc. Oceanarium located at entrance to hotel, great place to visit, you can even swim with the sharks, our son whos a diver did, he even fed the Manatee. Lovely selection of resturants, pools etc.Really beautiful and very relaxing. They did great packages when we came over 3 years ago with free nights etc. Look them up.

Hi

We stayed in the Swissotel, Merchant Courth and thought it was really great. We are a family of four and had two double beds and plenty of space for a cot. Rates were quite a lot cheaper than the Pan Pacific and they run a free shuttle bus throughout the day to Raffles, Orchard Road etc. Can't remember the exact room type/ rate but can find out if you are interested.

PS The staff were very friendly, professional and child friendly. They gave our little ones cereal at lunch time to help them with their jet lag!!

hi, still having trouble booking a hotel with 3 kids just been quoted 1800 ponds at the shangri la on sentosa island for the 5 of us seems you have to book two rooms,it seems mad when i know we dont need 2 rooms as the little one ,who is 4 kips in with us any way tried singapore airlines they werent that helpfull tbh lowest we bin quoted is 1400 hundred so far ,any tips guys,
was expecting to pay around 800 pound ish
