Singapore Airport - Building Works
Chuffin marvelous.
Just been online to book me overnighter at Changi Airport's transit hotel, and a big f$ck off message appeared:
"WARNING -THERE IS EXTENSIVE BANGING AND DRILLING DAY AND NIGHT DUE TO RENOVATIONS AT THE AIRPORT UNTIL LATE 2006."
Anyone experienced a sleepless night at the hotel due to this??

We've booked a room there for 12 hours on our way out next month, but I can tell you now it will take more than a bulldozer to wake me up!

We stayed there at the end of March, didn't hear a thing from our room - dont know how busy the hotel was but they obviously try to put guests as far away from the noise as possible.
We went for a walk around the airport at about 2.00 am though (jetlag!) and the building work was really noisy in the airport terminal itself.

Re: Singapore Airport - Building Works
We stayed there in June this year. I was concerned when I got the message re building works but we didn't hear a thing. Definately worth staying there to refresh ourselves for the next leg of the journey. Will stay there again.

I just phoned the airport, and they said it's worse in Terminal 2 than Terminal 1.
Guess what - we're coming into Terminal 2 - TYPICAL!!
Were all you who didn't hear any noise staying at Terminal 1??

I stayed in T1 as they said T2 was full.
Try e-mailling them and see if they'll change you to T1, it's not that far on the shuttlebus
