Smile Singapore Airline and under 2's?

Hi there,
we just got our visa this morning
We are now looking at the Singapore Airlines site and wanting to book a flight but we cannot see anywhere to include the details of our youngest kid who is not yet 2 years old. You get a place to indicate the name of a paying child, but nowhere for the infants? Has anyone booked with SIA online and know how to include an infant in the booking?
cheers,
Ian and Lou

This is from Singapore Airlines website... sorry its not much help! I guess you have to give them a ring??

"Tickets for children (2 to below 12 years at the time of travel) must be bought together with a ticket for an adult. Infant (under 2 years) is currently not available on our website."

Hi, we've just got here yesterday and travelled with singapore airliens with a two and a half year old and a fifteen month old. Couldn't fault them. Our little one was taken v ill on the plane and they were superb. MY youngest is a big girl and too big for a skycot so we booked a seat and lay her flat on it in her grobag. Take warm pjs and if you use grobags one of them for the baby as it was absolutely freezing on the plane for both legs (even though they provided blankets). And make sure you keep forcing the kids to drink and eat cos of dehydration.
We booked over the net, we bought a seat for both children and when we rang singapore airliens they just said put a date in online to make the younger child two and then give us a ring and we can change it on our computer. This is what we did. We booked two kids' meals over the phne as it didn't go through on the internet. They were brill. Though email them asking how much baggage allowance you can have and please take the email from them otherwise they may try charge u like us for excess baggage when you leave singapore (if you're having a stopover. Would strongly recommend if you can with little ones to break the journey up. We stayed two days in singapore and it gave the kids and us a chance to get a decent night's sleep. ALso you get the worst of the journey over as it's only six hours from signaore to brissie.
The food for the kids was great on the plane. But I took ricecakes and snacks too. The staff came round and gave them toys before we took off (cuddly sponge bob squarepants and rugrats figures which they loved). They were also more than happy to warm up milk for the baby's bottle. Hope this helps! good luck.
PS we got our travel insurance with Go walkabout for about 125 quid for all for us they and the post office (royal mail) do special one way migrant travel so if you get ill you aren't taken back to the UK but go on to oz!

Hi
I have just booked with Singapore airlines with a baby and 4 other kids.
I spoke to them first and what they said is to book everyone over 2 first and you then get a flight reference number in your email. Then give them a ring quoting your reference and they will add a sky cot booking for you. Price is 10% of adult price plus tax. Ours came to about £103. This was for the back end of January

Hope this helps.

Mark
