Simple Question I think?

I have been in Australia in the past 12months on a Tourist Visa.
Can I use the same ETA it will be within 12months on my return or do I need to get another one?
Thankyou Susanna.:)

Hiya Susanna :)

I think you will be ok so long as you are outta there before the visa expires, which will be the date on which you booked your visa... maybe when you booked your tickets...

I dont mean to sound patronising, but I was kidding myself that the visa became valid when you entered Aus, but found out later it was valid from the date I 'bought' it. Just a friendly warning :)

Susanna,

I hope you have exited and re-entered Australia every 3 months of your stay in Austalia, as an ETA (presumably you are on a ETA and not a paper label visa) allows you a maximum of 3-month stays within a 12-month period.

The ETA is valid for 12 months from date of issue (which may or may not be the same date as your flight ticket, and most likely not the same date as the date of your arrival in Australia).

Here's the official link with the conditions for an ETA:
