Silly question??

When you get granted PR in Australia, does this mean you are automatically entitled to live and work in NZ?

Im not too sure, but I think you have to be a citizen of OZ. You can apply for citizenship 2 yrs after obtaining PR. Then I think you can have access to NZ!!
As is obvious Im not certain, but Im sure someone will be!!!

are u having a problem getting in to nz
if u get into oz u can then get straight back on a plane and go to nz under the trans tansmain agrrement
thats a fact but what an immigration lawer also told me was if u live in nz for that 4-5 years your pr in oz would run out but u could then apply for nz citizenship

Is this true and can anyone expand on this, as have just got PR for OZ, and it looks like I have a job in NZ!! Doh . If this is the case it will save me going through the NZ immigration c--p. Once was quite enough.

An Australian citizen or permanent resident may work in NZ without a work permit/visa:
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/Work/

However, NZ and Australia are separate countries, and time spent in NZ will not count towards a new Australian RRV or Australian citizenship. Once the Australian PR visa expires while the holder is in NZ, he/she ceases to be an Australian permanent visa holder unless he/she has managed to chalk up enough time in Australia to get either Australian citizenship or an Australian RRV.
