They live in Newcastle, NSW right on the most gorgeaus lake - would send you more pics but don't want to bore you silly!
It's a bit strange to be honest but you soon get used to it - I think it helps having family around though. And who can complain at endless sunshine?
WE are going out in Oct on WHV, PR pending so will be there for xmas again. My brother is going out in Sept and my parents are flying over for xmas too - can't wait.

This one is even more bizarre - they obviously don't take into account the need for shading the head when they make those paper hats!!
Then again, maybe that's just because we are amateurs - seems not to bother the proffessional aussie!

I did Christmas day in Perth a couple of years back, went to the beach and it was roasting, and there was a load of aussies all swimming in Santa outfits. !!
It was at this point that I realised to live in Australia you have to be barking. .
I am so we are off in July.

Yeah my favorite bit was watching my father in law trying to close the lid on the BBQ with a giant turkey on it

I know this was originally supposed to be athread about people who actually live in Oz, but maybe if Del doesn't mind, we could turn it into a bit of a freeforall - ie any pics of your favourite times/places in Oz - might keep the rest of us going?

It is great fun looking at all of your pics. I don't have a digital camera yet, but am hoping to get one this weekend. I will post a boring old UK pic when I have learnt how to do it.
