If you so a search on here you will find a few threads about shipping cars. There is lots of hassle with doing it and lots of additonal costs. Generally speaking unless its vintage or Merc/BMW/Ferarri type sports car or high end luxury (which are v expensive here) its not worth it. Then add insurance hassles and resale hassles as its an import.
I looked at it carefully and while it would have been worth it initially for the value as I had a MB sports car, I did not want to be stuck with an expensive car that no-one wanted to buy as it was a personal import.

Hope it works out ok for you

You need to have owned and used the car for at least 12 months to obtain an import permit.

Yeah, the costs keep stacking up don't they. But I think it'll be worth it in the end. ()

Don't do it. Imported cars have to be insured by only a few companies and if they decide you're vehicle isn't what they want to insure you are SOL.

Just insured our import with Youi - no problem. $50 per month. About the same as what we paid in the UK.
