I apologise that some of my posts include short cuts or txt abbreviations...

for those who do not know I shall post some for you:


BRB = be right back
BAC = i am back
HB = hurry back
LOL = laugh out loud
PMSL = piddle myself laffin ;)
LMFFAO = laff my flippin fat ass off
<wg> = wicked grin
<g> = grin
LTNS = long time no see

fgs = for gods sake
asl = age sex location
tra = trades recognition australia
g2g = got to go
i82q4ap = i need the loo now (THINK BOUT THAT 1) !!!

bundy = from bundaberg, a rum thats yummo
gday = hi how are you
m8 = mate
no wukkas = no worries
wtf = wot the f***
dag = a fool, friendly term usually
baramundi = bloody fish rex hunt keeps kissin

act = australias capital territory
cbd = central business district
bottle shop = offlicense (booze)
vb = victoria beer
gbr = great barrier reef
g8 = great
banana bender = person from queensland
XXXX = BEER aussies cant spell ;)

billabong = watering hole
rellie = relative
dya = do you
w2g = way to go

slingyahook airlines = singapore airlines
valiant = always do the V sign when you see 1 (car)
u = you

Fraid to say you cant beat plain old typing, cant stand all these abbreviations, makes reading hard work,
What does anyone else think?

Agreed for the most part. I can cope with a little bit of the obvious stuff, but don't generally use it myself. I studied English at Uni - it goes against all my principles!!!!

was reading a report a while back that was discussing computers and play stations etc. It said that in a few hundred / thousands years (cant remember the exact number) we will all be chosing our husbands/wives on the basis of the size of their fingers !!!!!

(personally I still prefer muscles ;) )

Yeah, but which muscles? ;)

Im with Sandra & bundy Im afraid, although I know all the ones above (plus a whole heaps more) theres not too many I use apart from the internet ones like LOL & ROFL & a couple of others (btw is one that springs to mind).

It might be easy for someone to type shorthand, but it makes it bloody hard for most people to read!
