short term furnished in Sydney Hills
Can anyone point me toward any holiday lets or furnished housing in Sydney Hills ??
'Domain' and 'realestate' have virtually nothing furnished, and can't find any 'holiday lets' in the area.
Any other ideas please ?? - furnished apartments waaaaaayyyyyy too expensive, as is hiring furniture - cheaper to go to Ikea and and buy the basics than rent the stuff till ours arrives !!

Have a look at Big4 holiday parks, there are a couple in and around Sydney and maybe a cheaper option.
How long you need accomodation for, and when will really determine the pricing.
Whatever you do, you should probably give yourself around 4 weeks to find a rental

The Hills are not really a holiday destination, so there may not be much around that area. Do you need to be there initially? Have to be near a school, for example? You'd probably have more luck with holiday lets looking around the city or beaches, or further out.
Assume you're on stayz.com.au?

Thanks - appreciate it's not the best place to be looking for holiday rentals - very suburbia.
New job is in Bella Vista, so somewhere around there is best, plus need to get the 14 yr old into school quickly, so don't want to be moving from area to area - keep that the same if poss.
Stayz only have expensive srviced apartments in Castle Hill

Re: short term furnished in Sydney Hills
We moved in to Bella Vista into unfurnished and spent 3 months waiting for the furniture to arrive. It is do able and probably a wise choice as almost all houses out in this area are unfurnished due to the type of area it is.
We managed to survive with 2 kids on the following basics for 3 months:-
Fridge
TV
Bought a cheap outdoor patio set as ours wasn't in the container so would need one (used that as kitchen table, outdoor seats and living room furniture.
Kettle
Toaster
Rented washing machine
Got a basic starter pack from IKEA for kitchen ! with the pots and pans and 1 with plates etc.
Airbeds
I'm still in Bella Vista PM me if you want more info.

There is a caravan park in Dural that has new cabins that i think are called cottages.
Maybe they are worth a look at until something more permanent comes along.

Is unregulated but is well worth keeping an eye on Gumtree.com
Found a great place for my folks to stay in over new year and another mate found a 6 week rental in Alexandria to move into while he starts his job and finds his own place.
