Hi All,

We are moving from Cairns to the Gold Coast with work, and are looking for accommodation for about one month, somewhere in the Burleigh Heads / Miami (ish) area, whilst we find a semi permanent rental in the area.

We are looking for this accommodation between around the 19th December to the end of January. The issue is, because of the time of year its peak season, and so the costs are exorbitant. We also have two cats and two kids which doesn't make it any easier!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to look to find temporary accommodation, did doesn't cost the earth?

Any suggestions would be appreciated as i can't find anything.

Sorry missed this. To be honest I'm not sure you're going to find anything this late in the day whether cheap or not especially with pets. For that amount of time you're really looking at short term rental rather than holiday rentals and Interstaters will have taken them months ago. Any chance of pushing your move forward a month?

After lots of trawling the internet i came to the same conclusion, so we are coming down on the 16th January, which will make life allot easier.
