Cool Short Stay Apartments in Melbourne ?

Hi all,

We plan to arrive in Melbourne in mid July, and will need to book a Short Stay Apartment for 2/3 weeks to give us enough time to " find our feet ".

The idea is that we stay close to the CBD so we can have a look around and find an area we'd like to settle in.

Could anyone recommend good apartments from experience ?

Thanks a mil.

We stayed here last year www.manorhouse.com. Its just off Toorak Road, very close to the CBD and ideal for exploring. Its also very close to Chapel Street which is brilliant for shops, bars and restaurants.

The apartments were clean, well equipped and well priced - I'd highly recommend them.

Thanks muzza,

Looks really good, I have just emailed them to get a price for a three week stay.

I have been to Melbourne three times now and have stayed at Saville Suites on Exhibition Street. It is really close to the centre, on the circle tram route and great for getting around. They do one and two bedroom apartments and have all mod cons.

URL is http://www.savillesuites.com

Default Darling Towers

We stayed at Darling Towers. They have various locations, many around South Yarra. Murphy Street was ours and cost about $85/day. Also stayed at The British for a week before that. The British was very clean and is in North Melbourne. We stayed at a few others before that and they were pretty grotty.
