We arrive Brisbane 6 September and have been looking for either furnished or unfurnished accommodation and the best site we have found is http://www.seqrents.com.au. We have been offered a couple of properties in the Bayside area at very reasonable rates.

Good luck.

Furnished accommodation is not so easy to find in Brisbane, however try here.

You could always furnish a place pretty cheaply through a second-hand/charity shop if your own furniture will be a while in getting there. Also, you could consider renting furniture and appliances. Either option will give you a much bigger choice of places to rent, taking the unfurnished places into account.
