Default Short and/or Long term lets available – Melbourne, November 2010

Hi all,

Due to a little timing/crashed sale/circumstance etc, etc……from around the 5th November we may have a house to let if anyone is interested?

The most likely property to let is on Station Street, Somerville and would suit new arrivals or anyone looking for a month-by-month short term let. It’s a beautiful old federation house, built in 1907 and fully restored. It’s spitting distance to the station, literally, and it’s about 12 minutes by train or car to Frankston Station, which is then under an hour to CBD. It’s walking distance to pubs, restaurants, schools and shops and is a in a great spot. Oh, and it also has a nice in-ground pool.

The reason it may be available is that we have recently bought it and we settle on 5th November, but we have not sold our current house yet. We are still undecided as to whether to let our current house long-term and move to the Somerville house, or whether to keep trying to sell out current place and then move to Somerville once we have sold, hence the need for a short term tenant only. We can probably furnish it with basics to suit a new arrival, such as a bed, sofa and fridge and maybe able to get a TV and a few bots of crockery sorted if required.

The other option is that we move straight to that house ourselves on 5th November and let our current house in Berwick. This house is a place we built and is 12 months old, very modern and spacious and we would look to lease on a minimum 12 month initial term, with no furniture etc provided. It’s about a 7 minute drive to Berwick Station, which is also then under an hour to CBD by train, and a 10 minute drive to Berwick village centre.

So, if anyone is currently looking for a long term rental in Berwick for November, or shortly after, or if anyone is heading out to Melbourne before Christmas and needs some nice short term digs without having to pay hotel/motel type money, please let me know.

Cheers.
